A little history on us. David started as a firewood business in 1989, buying truck loads of firewood and cutting and splitting it by hand and selling to local people. In 1992 he bought his first log truck and started trucking logs and firewood for a few loggers he knew. As that business grew he purchased his first skidder and worked in the woods cutting wood and still trucking wood. As logging grew he then purchased a second skidder and hired a guy to operate it while he still trucked wood and logged. As it kept getting more work David bought a brand new truck in 1996 and another skidder. He hired a second operator for that skidder while still cutting, trucking and getting wood lots to cut. Then in June of 1999 a terrible accident while cutting in the woods left David paralyzed from the waist down. He recovered In Colorado and returned to operating his business from a wheelchair. Finding that pretty difficult to do the way he wanted he sold off his equipment except for the firewood processor. Still cutting firewood he took a full time job as a maintenance manager for a nationwide company. He oversaw the maintenance of 30 trucks and 4 mechanics and did well at it winning a contest for the ‘top shop’ across the country. In 2008 when the economy went downhill fast his position was eliminated and he was on his own again. Still doing firewood he again grew that business with the help of his son Ben. They ran it until 2012 when Ben wanted to start his own trucking business and David sold the business. He then bought logging equipment once again and against most people’s advice. With some creativity on how to do things he hired a couple guys to help and started logging once again. Ben returned to the logging business a year later and together they have grown it to operating 2 skidders, 3 tractor trailers and 2 large wood chippers employing 7 guys to get the jobs done. We are now a highly recognized logging company with an ever growing list of satisfied landowners. Take a look thru our website and give us a try.
